Lieutenant General (Ret.) Lance K. Landrum serves as a Senior Leadership Advisor at Matlock, bringing over 31 years of distinguished service in the United States Air Force to the organization. His extensive experience in global operations, strategic planning, and international defense collaboration provides valuable guidance to Matlock's leadership strategies and enhances its global operational frameworks.
A 1992 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Mechanics, Lt. Gen. Landrum later earned a Master's in Aeronautical Science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master's in Strategic Studies from the Air War College. His military career is distinguished by his experience as a command pilot with over 2,800 flying hours, including 395 combat hours.
Throughout his career, Lt. Gen. Landrum has held numerous leadership positions, commanding the 510th Fighter Squadron in Italy, the 332nd Expeditionary Operations Group in Iraq, and the 31st Fighter Wing at Aviano Air Base. His strategic expertise was further demonstrated in his role as Deputy Director for Requirements and Capability Development (J8) on the Joint Staff, where he oversaw the Joint Capability Integration and Development System.
As Director of Operations (J3) at U.S. European Command, Lt. Gen. Landrum orchestrated current and future operations while ensuring alignment with NATO strategies. Most recently, as the 23rd Deputy Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, he advised the NATO Secretary General and facilitated consensus among member nations on military policies, particularly during the alliance's response to the conflict in Ukraine.
