Matlock Secures Prestigious AV Contract at Naval Health Clinic Annapolis and Naval Academy

Annapolis, MD – 07 October 2024 – Matlock is excited to announce that it has been awarded a major contract to provide Secure Information Technology and cutting-edge Audio-Visual (AV) solutions to the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy. This multi-phase project will include the design, installation, and integration of state-of-the-art AV systems across several key locations.

Matlock will bring its expertise in advanced Information Technology through AV technologies, leveraging top-tier systems from Crestron, Shure, JBL, AVer, and other industry leaders to enhance communication and collaboration within these high-profile spaces. 

Project Scope and Details

As part of the contract, Matlock will deploy AV solutions across three main areas:

  • Combined Classroom This space, which can be divided into two rooms with a movable partition, will be outfitted with a Crestron DigitalMedia Switcher and touchscreens to allow flexible AV configurations for different room setups. Shure ceiling array microphones, JBL amplifiers, and AVer auto-tracking cameras will be installed to provide seamless audio and video capabilities, enabling the room to be used for both in-person and virtual presentations.

     

  • Command Conference Room (Naval Health Clinic Annapolis): The command conference room will be equipped with a Crestron 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System, Shure audio processors, and Sennheiser soundbars to facilitate high-quality video conferencing and multimedia presentations. The room’s AV system will be optimized to ensure ease of use through Crestron touchscreens and wireless collaboration tools such as Barco ClickShare.

  • Medical Facilities United States Naval Academy: A Naval Academy breakroom will be transformed into a multi-use AV space with presentation capabilities and video conferencing equipment. Crestron, Shure, and Sennheiser technologies will be integrated to deliver high-quality sound and video, allowing the room to function as a versatile space for staff meetings and training sessions.

Matlock’s scope includes the installation, programming, and testing of these systems to ensure that each space meets the Navy’s rigorous operational requirements.

Next Steps

Work on the project is set to begin on October 15, 2024 at the Naval Health Clinic Annapolis, with installations expected to be completed by December 15, 2024. Matlock’s team will be working closely with the Navy and the Naval Academy to ensure that the AV systems are installed, tested, and fully operational within the established timeframe.
