Domestic Maintenance and Engineering Systems Administrator

Matlock is looking for an experienced system administrator with WAN/LAN proficiency able to work all aspects of enterprise level server/workstation systems. Must be able to: apply critical thinking to solve complex technical problems involving planning and implementation of additions, deletions and major modifications to IT systems and supporting network infrastructure; and have knowledge of server virtualization technologies, network fundamentals and technical systems troubleshooting. Must have an understanding of working within a Microsoft Windows domain environment to include active directory, systems backups, archiving and disaster recovery. Must have a bachelor’s degree and/or IT systems administration certifications a plus. Must be self-motivated and able to work within a team environment with excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. The systems administrator’s key responsibilities and performance requirements are:

  • Deploy, manage, maintain, and support Microsoft Windows (all versions), Active Directory and related technologies;
  • Support local applications, servers and workstations;
  • Respond to monitored alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution;
  • Conduct system audits and data backups;
  • Provide technical solutions to automate processes or functions to improve daily operations;
  • Assist with design and implementation of technical security technology and IT projects as directed
  • Collaborate in authoring system documentation, policies, processes, and procedures;
  • Function as a reliable team member and able to provide periodic 24/7 on call support;
  • Able to lift up to 35 pounds.

Experience Level Required:

Bachelor’s Degree and/or IT systems administration

Proficiency in WAN/LAN

Apply critical thinking to solve complex technical problems

Possess knowledge of server virtualization technologies, network fundamentals and technical systems troubleshooting

Experience in working within a Microsoft Windows domain environment

Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

Specialty Requirements:

Secret or Top-Secret level clearance

Not required but highly favorable if with SCI access and COMSEC/crypto access require Final Top-Secret personnel clearance
