Matt Carroll
Matt Carroll brings more than 24 years of global experience to Matlock, including 12 years as an executive in the engineering and construction industries and 12 years in the military serving in numerous aviation command and staff billets worldwide.
Prior to his current role as a partner with CareerSMITH, Matt held the position of vice president, secure services with Fluor Corporation, a multibillion dollar, global engineering and construction firm. Matt was responsible for building and leading this business line focused on design-build and operations and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure for the U.S. Intelligence Community on a global basis. Matt joined Fluor in 2003 and held key account management roles in business development within Fluor’s Government Group. This included leading Fluor’s federal sector accounts for the US Army, Navy/Marine Corps, DHS, NASA, FEMA and Intelligence Agencies.
Prior to joining Fluor, Matt served for 12 years in the United States Marine Corps as a naval aviator, attaining the rank of major. His military career included multiple successful overseas deployments, combat mission support, installation management, and contracting assignments.
Matt serves on the board of several federal associations, including the SMSA, NDIA and PSC. As an avid scholarship supporter, he is a former board member of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation and serves as chairman of the MCSF Golf Tournament in Washington, D.C.
Matt earned a Bachelor of Arts from Roger Williams University in Rhode Island and a Master of Science in Global Business Leadership from the University of San Diego. He holds a top secret clearance.
